Insurance Billing 101 for Massage Therapists

The Massage Insurance Billing Manual - Insurance Billing 101 for Massage Therapists is now available.

Billing Insurance for massage can get you started on a track of working with doctors and insurance companies which is a good way to reduce the effects of a challenging economy.  Massage Therapists in most states are able to bill car accident insurance (PIP or Med Pay) when a client/patient was involved in a car accident.  You may also be able to bill for other types of injuries that happen at home through a home owner's policy or for injuries that happen in office buildings.  This is called Personal Injury claims.

Most states also allow massage therapists to bill workers compensation or labor and industries when a person is hurt on the job.  This also includes car accidents that occur on the job.

You can find out more what you need to know and see the full introduction and table of contents on the massage insurance billing page.
