My first SBI! site I started selling Ebooks within a few months of starting it back in 2002.
What’s the best domain name for my site?
The best domain name will include the keywords that people use the most to search for what it is that you do and your location (if applicable). Some combination of ‘massage, your city’ or deeptissuemassageaustin.com. Actually when you get a long combination of words putting a hypen in to separate them works best as in deep-tissue-massage-austin.com . If you want a domain that is easier to remember to use on marketing materials you can usually get something like your name or initials or whatever and have it just point to your site. I have massage-carreer-guides.com and massagecareerguides.com
How soon can I get rich?
Probably not ever. SBI!’s way is the way of the tortise – slow but sure.
How much time do you spend on your sites?
Now I work 2 -3 days on my sites and only do 2-3 days of massage. My days of working on my site go something like this – wake up 8 am, read inspirational works and do journal writing, watch Ellen, have lunch with a friend, take a nap, watch Oprah and then write from about 5-9. I did start out just as a hobby, writing on weekends when I had time and not having a plan.
How do you make most of your money from websites?
My main income comes from Google’s adsense program. Google lets you have a free account and you can set up ads to put on your site. The ads are targeted to the keywords of the page so writing about topics that are in demand and that people pay a lot to Google for the ad placement helps. There are tools that help you choose a topic and a keyword structure for your site. I also make additinal money from affiliate programs like amazon.com, ebay.com and also SBI!
