Actually, in Maryland there are two designations for MT's. CMT (Certified Massage Therapist) and RMP (Registered Massage Practitioner). The difference is 60 college credit hours, any 60 college credit hours. If you have them - CMT, and if you don't - RMP. If you are a CMT, you can practice in a medical facility, if not, you can't. Don't necessarily understand the randomness of it all, but that's the way it is.
