I interviewed at a Massage Envy about a year ago. It was a nice place. I don't remember the prices, but their moderate for members not cheap.

They rely membership numbers and not long term employees to be successful. If you sign a contract you have to buy a massage every month whether ever or not you step foot in a Massage Envy again. People just don't join and get a discount on future business they pay a monthly fee for the length of the contract. The place I interviewed at claimed 1400 memberships. They are guaranteed, by contract, to receive payment for 1400 massages every month. Selling memberships is what matters, not the contentment of employees or the quality of serve given

I personally love the massage envy business model because when their local clients come into my practice their usual response is WOW! So this is what a real massage is like and usually reschedule.
