The need for massage blogs is really important right now with the future of the massage profession at such a major crossroads. We need to be writing about all of the issues that we are being faced with now currently and learn to give constructive comments and create engaging discussions. In doing so we can educate the public about massage – that would be a good blog in itself – the benefits of massage and then track all of the latest research and also create a case study section and start collecting evidence that massage works.
The current political happenings – the NCBTMB finally moving to an advanced exam but maybe a little too late?
When I did a search for massage blogs there aren’t many good ones that come up. So where are your blogs people?
Setting up a blog is quite easy for me since I do it all of the time. If you are wanting to have your own blog I am now offering a service to help you research a topic, choose a domain name and set up the blog for you to start using.
I think some topics for blogs that would be really great are:
- Journal your path through deciding to become a massage therapist to choosing a school to day by day of school happenings.
- Journal your career of starting your own business or finding a job and working as a massage therapist
- Politics, licensing and legislation
- Benefits of massage showing evidence and research and case studies
This is just a few ideas – the list is endless really. Are you ready to become a blogger? Read more on the details of this new service I am offering to help you get set up and going!

Today, having a webpage and blog really helps in the massage business. At Oregon School of Massage we work with our student in our business class to help them think through and build such great communication options. Thank you for encouraging and promoting good communication and education. Jack oregonschoolofmassage.com
I absolutely agree. I am currently trying to get my massage blog off the ground, and am really struggling with finding other blogs to network with. Here it is, any feedback would be much appreciated…
