Why do you want a website?
Most people just say they want a website but don’t really think about why they need one.
Today if you are in business- whether you are just starting up, wanting to grow your business, you need a website.
A website can help you find new clients. To do that, you need to have a website that gets you to the top of the search engine results and then has a attractive description that gets the reader to click the link to your website. You then need to have a website that has the information that they are looking for to solve their problem or answer their question. The way to do that is through creating content- providing them with enough information to build trust to get them to call for the appointment!
A great example of a website is from this massage therapist from Deservingbodymassage.com. This is a great example of a website with great content about what they do. In particular, I love the way they have talked about the benefits of massage!
The other thing a website can do is build credibility. You can put the address on all of your flyers and business cards and provide more in-depth information about what you do. Your current clients and medical professionals that refer to you will have someplace to refer people to learn more about you.
When you know what the focus is of your website, you can then create a website geared towards doing those things.

Julie, what an HONOR to find our site listed on your awe-inspiring massage blog! We (my wife and I) just started building this site in Oct of 2006. In October we had 158 visitors (for the month); November we had 422 visits, and now December isn’t finished yet but we have already had over 635 visitors! The traffic builds steadily, and a lot of our pages are already on Google, MSN, and Yahoo’s top number 1 - number 3 spots.
About 60% of our new clientele have found us from our new website. They (visitors) also purchase our gift certificates like crazy! Having a website done right brings amazing results.
I whole-heartedly recommend Site Build It to your readers. We knew absolutely ZIP about website design, traffic building, etc. Site Build It taught us everything we used to create our site. We are still building more pages, and taking it a day at a time.
Happy Holidays!
Sincerely,
John Rasch

I have been reading your blogs, website, and all comments. Very interesting, Kuos! I am right now using Webpro suggested by Cherie Moe-Sohen, (Did I get her name right?) She suggested Webpro. They do have beautiful templates to choose from & I pay around $40 a month.
But I read about SBI before & now here. Webpro is a month by month payment, but I want to try SBI. SO thanks for info you have given

Julie,
Our massage site made with SBI (Site Build It) continues to bring us joyful success. We’d be happy to post an update (it’s been 6 months since our last post!) - just say the word.
Sincerely,
John Rasch and MJ Williams
